Amy Montali is a California-born artist/photographer currently living and working in Providence, RI. She has exhibited in galleries and museums throughout the U.S., including the Foley Gallery in New York City and Gallery Kayafas in Boston, where she was represented from 2006-17.

She is Professor of Art at Rhode Island College, where she designed and oversees the current photography program. She previously taught at the Museum School, Greenfield Community College, Tufts University, and Hampshire College. She holds a BA from Wesleyan University (Film Studies & Theater) and an MFA from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston (Studio Art).

Her photographs are held in many private and public collections, including the RISD Museum of Art and the Boston Museum of Fine Arts, and have been published in the Photo Review, the Providence Journal, the Boston Globe, and many online magazines and journals.
